The legendary professional wrestler universally known in the sports entertainment industry as Randy Orton entered the world under his legal birth name Randal Keith Orton. He was born on April 1, 1980, in the city of Knoxville, located in the state of Tennessee within the United States of America. His biological parents who raised him are the professional wrestler Bob Orton Junior and Elaine Orton. He spent his early childhood years growing up alongside his two younger siblings named Nathan Orton and Becky Orton. His family lineage established him as a third-generation professional wrestler because both his biological father and his grandfather Bob Orton Senior were professional wrestlers. During his youth, his foundational academic journey included studying at Hazelwood Central High School, located in St. Louis, Missouri, from which he officially graduated in 1998. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1998. His military service came to an end when he received a bad conduct discharge in 1999 after twice going absent without official leave and disobeying a direct command from a superior military officer. After leaving the military, he began his initial sports training in professional wrestling under the guidance of the Mid-Missouri Wrestling Association and Southern Illinois Conference Wrestling promotions in the year 2000. World Wrestling Entertainment officially signed him to a developmental sports contract in the year 2001, and he was immediately assigned to report to Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, Kentucky. His professional wrestling career reached a permanent milestone when he made his official televised in-ring debut on the main World Wrestling Entertainment television program against Hardcore Holly on April 25, 2002. He achieved historical significance at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on August 15, 2004, when he defeated Chris Benoit to win the World Heavyweight Championship, which legally established him as the absolute youngest world champion in World Wrestling Entertainment history at twenty-four years of age. He also became the final holder of the original World Heavyweight Championship before it was unified at the TLC event on December 15, 2013. His first marriage occurred on September 21, 2007, when he legally wed Samantha Speno, with whom he shared the birth of a biological daughter named Alanna Marie Orton on July 12, 2008, before their divorce was legally finalized in June 2013. He entered his second legal marriage on November 14, 2015, when he wed Kimberly Kessler, and together they celebrated the birth of their biological daughter Brooklyn Rose Orton on November 22, 2016. Outside of the wrestling ring, he made his official film acting debut by starring in the action movie titled The Marine 3: Homefront, which was released globally in 2013. He also made his official televised dramatic acting debut by appearing on the television series Shooter in 2016. He achieved another historical milestone by competing in the main event of WrestleMania 21 against The Undertaker on April 3, 2005. He won the 2009 Royal Rumble match by eliminating Triple H on January 25, 2009, and later won his second Royal Rumble match by eliminating Roman Reigns on January 29, 2017. He successfully won the Money in the Bank ladder match on July 14, 2013, which granted him the championship contract. His first official WWE Championship victory occurred at the No Mercy event on October 7, 2007.
